Five startups will be financed in the region of Tavush. EU4Youth - Employability and Stability in Armenia, Belarus, Ukraine


Financed by European Union and co-financed by Austrian Development Agency, BSC Business Support Center and SOS Children’s Villages APF have implemented entrepreneur promotion program in May-July 2019 in Ijevan city, aiming to develop entrepreneurial thinking among Tavush youth, to help to found new businesses and to lower unemployment in the marz. It is planned to give grants in the amount of 4000 euro to each winner for the investment in 5 perspective business ideas.


In the scope of program, 19 young people from Ijevan and adjacent communities have participated to business trainings of 3 months duration: business idea development, business plan development, market research, finance management, accounting. At the end of the program the participants have developed business plans and have presented them to the grant competition.



On September 25, the results of the competition have been announced, and the names of 5 winners were revealed, who have to take the responsibility of launching new businesses.

In the result of continuous and cooperative work of financing and partner organizations in upcoming 6 months new businesses will be launched in the following fields:

Music services,

Organizing music events,

Mushroom production,

Organizing camping rest,

Organizing rest through innovation technologies,

Organizing family rest.


Hayk Ghalumyan, the mayor of Ijevan city, was present in the event. He expressed his willingness to support startupers in the consistence and development of their businesses. BSC Business Support Center founding director Samvel Gevorgyan and SOS Children’s Villages APF national director Spartak Sargsyan also expressed their readiness to support all 19 participants of the project with consultancy and on raising funds.
